Carla Moore

Department and College Teacher; Tap, Modern, Festivals

Carla has been dancing since she was 8 years old after deciding that she was too graceful as a football player!! 

Carla had trained under the ADA syllabus in Ballet, Jazz and Tap however, began her ISTD journey at the age of 18. At 19, she joined North Liverpool Dance Academy for 3 years and successfully graduated in 2016 gaining her ISTD Advanced 1 (Ballet) and 2  (Modern, National and Tap) and DDE qualifications in Imperial Ballet, Modern Theatre, National and Tap dance as well as her IDTA Associate in Ballet. 

Since graduating, Carla has achieved her ISTD Licentiate Modern examination at NLDA as she aspires to be an examiner. As well as also being an Acrobatic Arts Module 2 qualified teacher, Carla offers many free classes in Jazz, Lyrical Contemporary, Musical Theatre and Commercial and has a passion for choreography as she choreographs many competition and show numbers for various schools and has reached the finals of the Barbara Sharples International Choreographic Award this year (2019) with one of her group dances. 

She is a freelance teacher based around Liverpool teaching in many dance schools, a primary school and the teacher training college she graduated from.

Carla is thankful for her job and getting to teach the beautiful students she has and hopes she can inspire her dancers and pass on her passion for dance.
