Danny Ward

Junior Department Teacher; Ballet, Tap, Modern

Danny started dancing at The Victoria Academy at the age of 7 and trained in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz and Hip Hop until he decided to train as a dance teacher in North Liverpool Dance Academy’s teacher training college. 

Danny has successfully achieved his practical teaching exams in ISTD Imperial Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre, Tap and National dancing, and is currently in the process of finalising the written work to come his qualification. Alongside this, Danny is completing his IDTA level 4 teaching qualification in Ballet. 

Danny has been trained by many top hip hop and commercial choreographers in New York and Los Angeles such as Kyle Hanagami, Dana Alexa, Hamilton Evans, Keenan Cooks and Sisco Gomez to name a few. He is constantly improving his own training and brings new ideas into the studio for his students. Danny has performed across the country in Sadler’s Wells in London’s West End and Blackpool Winter Gardens, as well as being apart of Liverpool shows such as ‘Hello Dolly!’ and ‘A Christmas Carol’. 

During his short career Danny has already taught in numerous schools across Liverpool and Wirral engaging with all age groups and adapting to cater for their individual needs. 

In the short time he has been teaching at NLDA, Danny has trained the students in their ISTD syllabus work, with a 100% pass rate, and choreographed for competitions and festivals across the county. Danny has also choreographed for charity shows in aid of Motor Neurone Disease and the Owen McVeigh Foundation as well as a juvenile panto team for a Trio Leisure Christmas panto.
